ASI research is blossoming at frontier labs worldwide, as AGI is increasingly seen operative. Over two years, an Austin-centered open ASI study-circle has been active, with a strong foundation in 5thGen AI paradigms and prior Classical Cybernetics.
In particular, the OODA Loop paradigm has been applied as a reference frame to map to all heritage cognition models, towards a (Newell) “Unified Model of Cognition” (UMC), now dubbed “neoOODA”.
The 2023 slide gives a sense of how heritage and current models were recast conformal to OODA Loop flywheels, in order to identify their common and unique components, that were then integrated into neoOODA, to be detailed in follow-up posts. Thanks for any questions or suggestions!
